Start exploring your school options in Fall. Identify the schools that would be a good fit for your family.
On November 1, the Apply Houston application goes live and you can begin selecting the schools you would like to apply to.
Apply to at least three schools to increase your chance of finding a seat in a school of your choice.

Submit your application to as many schools as you’d like during the application period: November 1 to February 10.
The Apply Houston application closes on February 10, 2019.
By the spring, most schools wind down the application process and prepare to hold their lottery. (What is a lottery?)
The schools you applied to will notify you if you directly (by phone call, email or postcard) if your child has been selected to attend, or placed on a waitlist.
