Houston's simplified K-12 school applications.
It’s never been easier to find and apply to the right schools for your children.
To ease the burden for parents applying to multiple schools, Apply Houston has simplified the application process.
Parents can now fill out one application and submit it to multiple schools at the same time. The process takes less than 10 minutes.
Participating networks include A+ Unlimited Potential, KIPP Houston Public Schools, Promise Community Schools, and YES Prep Public Schools. Combined, there’s over 50 schools to choose from.
November 1, 2017
Thanks to a common application timeline, you can count on applications to open and close at the same time for all of Apply Houston’s schools.
You may begin submitting applications to Apply Houston schools on November 1.
Explore your school options starting in Fall. Identify the schools that would be a good fit for your family. Apply to at least three schools to increase your chance of finding a seat in a school of your choice.
February 10, 2017
Submit your application to as many schools as you’d like during the application period: November 1 to February 10.
The Apply Houston application closes on February 10, 2017.
By the spring, most schools wind down the application process and prepare to hold their lottery. (What is a lottery?)
Schools will notify you if your student has been selected to attend or placed on a waitlist.

KIPP, the Knowledge Is Power Program, is on a mission to develop in underserved students the academic skills, intellectual habits, and qualities of character necessary to succeed at all levels of pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, college, and the competitive world beyond. Finishing its second decade, KIPP has become a national leader in the movement to provide all children with access to an excellent education.
For PreK3, PreK4 and Kindergarten, you must submit your form in person at a KIPP school. Bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of home address with you.
You can only enter one lottery application for one KIPP school, per child.
